  Young "Elders"

  ever since the annual meeting last october and the letter to bodies of elders stating that "exceptional young men perhaps in their early 20's could qualify for appointment as elders.." it even states this in the updated elders manual!

  have any of you pimo's, pimq's, or those on here with family/friends still in hear of any young men being appointed as elders yet?

  i am talking 21, 22, 23, 24 etc.

  Why didn't they just tell people Rutherford needed to move to San Diego?

  from wikipedia: "rutherford had reportedly lost the use of one lung from pneumonia suffered during his imprisonment in 1918 and 1919. finding new york's winter weather "impossible", rutherford was encouraged by a doctor to "spend as much time as possible" in a more favorable climate.

  " why not just tell the people exactly what it says above?

  why all the mumbo jumbo about purchasing it for ancient worthies to be resurrected?

  He jumped at the chance and took full advantage of it,,hoodwinking the followers. Ultimately deceiving them

  No way could he disclose why he moved to San Diego,,,of all places. Umm, you know,,,a temperate beautiful climate and such....

  Does not fit JW theology is non other than:

  John 1:1,, they had to insert ''a" ,,,in order for it to work.

  Or

  Ephesians 2: 8,9

  It is by "grace'" you are saved. The word "grace" is totally scrubbed from the JW vocabulary!!

  Just read that Carl Olof Jonsson died yesterday

  for newbies, who was carl olof jonsson?

  he was a jw in sweden who was challenged by a householder in the 1960s, who pointed out to him that secular history books don’t agree with watchtower that jerusalem was destroyed in 607 bce, but instead place the event 20 years later.

  the reason the date is important is because it is the starting date for jw chronology which leads to 1914 as the end of the gentile times, and the beginning of the last days, as jws understand it.

  is this the "great tribulation" which jesus warned he would bring upon the corrupt christian congregations worldwide, (revelation 2:22; 7:14) or is it the same 1st century g.t.

  which he said would never occur again?

  (matthew 24:21).

  As the onslaught of CSA cases is about to happen as with the PA inquiries.....look for the Borg to victimize the rank and file by passing seige mentality onto it's members.
